Esra Al

Esra Al is a postdoctoral researcher in Columbia University. She did her Phd in Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in Germany. Her thesis focused on the influence of heartbeat on the conscious perception of somatosensory stimuli. Now, she is working on both the cardiac and respiratory effects on auditory and visual neural processing by using scalp and intracranial neural recordings along with the physiological recordings.
