What skills I need to develop as a young learner to do something to support United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. They address the global challenges we face, including poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice (www.un.org), and other challenges that threaten human well-being and livelihood and that of future generations. Though all of us agree SDGs are great but many of us have the impression that these objectives are the responsibility of the governments, international organizations, and leaders. Individually, we feel it is impossible that an average person can make an impact.

In this webinar, the young learners will be introduced to the SDGs and make them identify which SDGs are relevant to their country and the local community they live in. Then, they will be made to enquire to identify what skills they need to develop during their period of learning in schools now and universities in the future in order to contribute to SDG goals locally and globally.
