Stephanie Okeyo is a microbiologist and has over six years of experience in youth civic engagement. Currently, Stephanie is the founder of Under the Microscope, an organisation that leverages science education, engagement and communication to accelerate progress towards building a more robust science and innovation infrastructure in Africa. She is a council member of the Female Genital Mutilation to STEM initiative. Previously she was an Ambassador of Women in Science, East Africa and Representative to the United Nations Office, Geneva, at the Royal Academy of Science International Trust (RASIT). She is committed to building an African scientific landscape that provides equal opportunities and benefits for every human being.
